A falu északi határában lévő infotábla angol nyelvű szövege:

„Tesnina is a gateway to Horehornie from the north-east, from Śpis. It is a commemorative battlefield of the Slovak National Uprising in autumn 1944. It is the place where our grandfathers and fathers defended Vernár from fascist assisted by a rebellious army.
The village of Vernár become partisan in August 20th, 1944. when tha first eigtteen partisans come down from the surrounding mountains and settled in a local school. After the Slovak National Uprising vas officially announced on August 28th, 1944, a rebellious army heading from Telgart reached the village of Vernár. They were forced to retreat towards Brezno in the early september 1944 as the clerofascists came and lolonised the village between 9th and 22nd September 1944.
On september 22nd, the fascists were chased away far beyond Poprad, and the front line was steadily estabilished between Vikartovce and Spiśsky Stiavnik. The fascists continued their raged attacks uppon Tesina for another month. However the village itself was not invaded again until October 26th, 1944, when the fascists took their raid via Tesina. The village was left unprotected since the rebellion army had set off for Śumiac and further Brezno the days before, due to problems that had occured the front line near Ćervená skala”
